Job Summary
Assist lead teacher with instruction and evaluation; provide one-on-one academic and behavioral support; lead small group activities; perform clerical and housekeeping duties in the classroom; maintain records of student progress; assist with classroom materials and audiovisual equipment; monitor student safety and behavior; participate in staff development; support general operations of the classroom and instructional activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required. Or, completion of the Workkeys tests for Applied Math and score 4; Graphic Literacy and score 4 and Workplace Documents and score 4, plus 96 contact hours in reading, writing, math strategies, working with special needs and technology.
