Job Summary
Provide instructional support and personal assistance to teachers of students with physical or intellectual disabilities. Assist with instructional duties, prepare classroom materials, supervise student behavior, implement behavior modification plans, support speech-language activities, operate audiovisual equipment, perform clerical tasks, and assist with personal hygiene and physical care under teacher guidance. Roles include collecting student data, supervising learning centers, reading to students, facilitating language development, and adapting to diverse student needs. Must work under supervision, lift up to 25 pounds, and be patient and flexible in a classroom setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a teacher aide or experience working with children
