Job Summary
Provide instructional support to teachers of students with physical or intellectual disabilities. Assist with preparing classroom materials, supervising student behavior, implementing behavior modification plans, and supporting with personal hygiene and basic medical procedures as directed by the teacher. Conduct data collection on student skill practice and seizure occurrences, support language development activities, operate audiovisual equipment, and assist with clerical tasks as needed. Works under the supervision of the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans and support individual or small group instruction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a teacher aide or experience working with children
