Job Summary
Instructional support role assisting a teacher in a Special Education setting, 1:1 with a student. Responsibilities include preparing classroom materials, supervising behavior, applying behavior management techniques, performing clerical tasks, and providing personal hygiene and physical care as required. Requires collecting and recording student data (skill practice, seizure occurrences, toileting), implementing behavior modification plans, facilitating language development activities, operating classroom technology, and supporting various developmental areas (cognitive, communication, motor, social-emotional, daily living skills). Works under teacher supervision;需 ability to lift and assist students, adapt to diverse student needs, and follow lesson plans. Strong communication and patience are essential; position is 10 months per year, 7 hours/day, non-exempt with salary range $22.47–$25.28 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a teacher aide or working with children
