Teacher Assistant

Preschool Teacher Assistant supporting Head Start classrooms (ages 3–5) under the supervision of a Preschool Teacher. Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction using the CLASSTM framework, foster an inclusive classroom, monitor developmental progress through ongoing assessments, tailor learning experiences to meet diverse needs (including special needs and dual language learners), engage families as collaborative partners, and participate in ongoing professional development. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members to support school readiness and child development across cognitive, social, and emotional domains. This role emphasizes building responsive teacher-child relationships, maintaining a welcoming learning environment, aligning with curriculum goals, and contributing to a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. Qualifications include a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with relevant coursework, strong communication skills, teamwork, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
