Job Summary
Teaching Assistant at Ignite Achievement Academy's BEACON program supports students with speech and/or behavioral disabilities in a small-classroom setting (approximately four to six students). Tasks include delivering differentiated instruction and providing one-on-one or small-group support, assisting with instructional activities, reinforcing behavior management strategies, facilitating transitions, using assistive technology, and communicating student progress to the classroom teacher. The role involves maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment, participating in professional development, and working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Requirements include an Associate's Degree, experience with children with special needs, strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with a team, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and background check clearance. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and teacher certification.

- Exemplary written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish a strong and supportive relationship with each assigned student
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Stamina to actively engage with students throughout the school day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform tasks involving physical activities, including standing, walking, and bending
- Ability to pass a background check
