Job Summary
Support teaching staff in implementing curriculum and daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Actively supervise and engage children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment. Assist with behavior management, assessments, and documentation to support individualized learning and school readiness. Collaborate with teachers and families to enhance educational outcomes while maintaining a positive, organized classroom environment. Work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8-hour workdays within a 39-week program year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be willing to enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hire
- Ability and willingness to work directly with young children in a hands-on classroom environment
- Ability to support the implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences and positive child guidance practices
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8-hour workdays
- Position operates on a 39-week program year schedule with summers off
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or early childhood setting
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs
