Job Summary
Assist the Special Education Teacher with the educational program for assigned classroom/students; follow lesson plans to meet individual needs; observe and evaluate progress; maintain a safe, healthy classroom; prepare and organize materials; provide translation between teachers and families; participate in classroom team meetings and collaborate with staff; support on-site and remote settings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- NYSED certification as a Teacher Assistant
- TA Certification- Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 (Required)
- Minimum age 18 years
- HS Diploma or HS equivalency required
- Associate’s Degree preferred
