Job Summary
Teacher Assistant for the Maintenance Program provides instructional and classroom support, assisting instructors with lab setup, material preparation, tool/equipment organization, and student mentoring in a hands-on technical training environment. Responsibilities include preparing handouts and learning aids, organizing digital files and course documentation, leading small study groups, mentoring students on program expectations and lab procedures, supporting field trips and program events, organizing tools and tracking check-in/check-out, maintaining safe lab spaces with PPE compliance, assisting with equipment checks, and aiding instructors in monitoring safety and lab operations. Preferred experience includes aviation maintenance or related hands-on training environments and familiarity with shop tools and safety procedures; the role emphasizes strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills, and a commitment to student success in a fully onsite setting.
