Job Summary
Ensure student safety and assist in establishing classroom environments conducive to learning by maintaining structure and guiding students toward socially appropriate behaviors. Work with Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups while performing ongoing data collection and record keeping. Support and reinforce Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) goals and objectives within a multi-disciplinary team focused on strengths-based approaches. This year-long 52-week role offers direct behavioral intervention support for students with emotional disturbances, cognitive differences, autism, and intellectual disabilities at Devereux Day Academy in Landenberg, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 21 years old
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace (drug screening required)
