Job Summary
Assist teachers with small group instruction, materials preparation, record keeping and student supervision. Reinforce instruction across math, English, reading, social studies and science; assist with individual and/or small group remedial instruction; grade papers and maintain student records. Also help prepare materials, classroom cleanup, playground and cafeteria supervision, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Satisfy ACT WorkKeys or equivalent (2 years higher ed or an associate degree or higher or NCNRC with passing 455 on Paraprofessional Assessment or passing OGET)
- Computer and clerical skills
- Good interpersonal skills with students and adults
- Satisfy district physical health and citizenship requirements
- Alternative qualifications may be acceptable per Board
- Nine-month classified hourly contract
