Job Summary
Assist the teacher with instructional activities in a General Education classroom, reinforcing learning through individual or small-group practice using flashcards, games, worksheets, and instructional materials. Support lunch, attendance, and classroom operation records; help maintain student records and prepare/maintain instructional materials; supervise and escort students to buses and during study halls; encourage and assist students to complete assignments; help create an orderly, safe, and engaging learning environment; perform clerical duties and contribute to planning daily and long-range programs under teacher supervision; align with WJCC Strategic Plan values of Individualism, Integrity, Innovation, Accountability and Collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Teacher Assistant II: completion of a minimum of 48 hours of college credit.
