Job Summary
Cover teacher and staff breaks throughout the day and provide classroom coverage when staff members are absent. Assist in classrooms needing extra support while working with children during play, learning activities, meals, and routines. Maintain clean, safe, and organized environments by keeping classrooms tidy and ensuring active supervision of children. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers while adjusting to different classrooms and situations. This role involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling throughout the day, including lifting and carrying young children when needed.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a fingerprint background check
- Enjoys working with young children
- Caring, patient, and dependable
- Works well as part of a team
- Able to adjust to different classrooms and situations
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel throughout the day
- Lift and carry young children when needed
- Maintain active supervision of children
