Job Summary
Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to create a safe, warm, and caring educational environment in integrated preschool classrooms. Assist in caring for the physical needs of children, including toileting and personal care, while managing behavior under teacher supervision. Maintain professional ethics, attend staffing and in-service meetings, and keep classroom supplies ready. Support child observation, records keeping, and assessment activities. This 10-month position includes summer options at Easterseals Valhalla, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two (2) years practical experience working with children is preferred
