Job Summary
Teacher Assistant supports the Head Start Teacher by delivering classroom curricula in alignment with Head Start regulations and agency guidelines. Maintains a trauma-informed, positive classroom environment, ensures supervision of children at all times, reinforces rules and expectations, and builds positive relationships with students. Requires a High School diploma with a CDA credential (or working toward an Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education) and current CPR/First Aid certification; bilingual English/Spanish skills are desirable. This role may be contracted.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; CDA credential
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Child Development Associate credential
- Desire to work in Head Start environment
- English and Spanish language skills desirable
