Teacher Assistant-Exceptional Children (26-27SY)

Teacher Assistant for Exceptional Children to support classroom teachers by working with individual students or small groups, implement IEP goals and NC standards, assist with instruction and behavior management, support non-academic activities (lunch, recess, hallway duties), and provide basic medical support including medication logs and insulin administration as needed. Requires 48 college semester hours or a 2-year Associate's Degree; 10-month, 8-hour day schedule; responsibilities include assisting with instruction, managing student behavior, supervising students, and collaborating with school staff.
