Job Summary
Provide instructional and technical assistance to meet the specialized needs of students; support instructional activities and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff. Demonstrates ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents; plans/implements instructional activities; operates or learns to operate a variety of technology and equipment; performs clerical responsibilities; works as a team member; and has the physical ability to assist and lift students if required. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and meets educational requirements under No Child Left Behind Act (2 years of college or Associate's or higher degree or equivalent demonstrated instruction ability); successful background check and drug screening; position is paid as Support Personnel, Pay Grade 6, with a 186-day (10-month) work year.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education; or Associate's or higher degree; or Knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in core subjects as verified by a rigorous state or local assessment.
