Job Summary
Assist Associate and Lead Teachers in maintaining a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 6 weeks through 6 years. Supervise the group with a critical eye to ensure safety while engaging positively with children, families, and co-workers throughout the day. Care for basic infant needs including bottle feeding, diaper changes, and nose wiping, while maintaining classroom and shared space sanitation. Guide children's behavior using a developmentally appropriate approach and follow all NH Child Care Licensing Regulations, certifications, and background checks. Attend staff meetings, participate in family events, and complete emergency drills as scheduled. Maintain good communication with employees, families, and the public while accepting constructive feedback to correct situations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age
- Appropriate documentation for employment required
- Experience working with young children in settings such as childcare, babysitting, camp counselor
- NH Early Childhood Credential preferred or must apply for credential within 12 months of hire
- Attends a minimum number of continuing education training hours
