Job Summary
Provide support to the teacher in instruction of students, including group instruction and individualized instruction; serve as a substitute teacher when needed; assist with attendance and health records, prepare visual aids, and manage classroom materials; monitor student behavior, reinforce positive behavior, and support discipline policy; operate audiovisual equipment and office machines; maintain confidentiality of student information; candidates must be willing and able to obtain a bus license and may be required to substitute as a bus driver when needed; requires graduation from high school and an associate's degree or equivalent coursework (WorkKeys levels) as part of qualification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Associate's degree or 48 semester hours or score at least a level Four on all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) of the WorkKeys exam
- Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
- Willing and able to obtain a bus license
