Job Summary
Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver – provides classroom support to a lead teacher and may drive a school bus when called upon. Responsibilities include tutoring students individually or in small groups, assisting in classroom procedures, maintaining files and records, supervising students for safety, and transporting authorized students on bus routes. Requires an Associate's Degree or at least 48 college credits, must be 18+, and must obtain a valid CDL with passenger and bus endorsements (P and S) for North Carolina. Interacts with teachers, principals, parents, and the community and ensures compliance with safety regulations and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold an Associate's Degree or have at least 48 semester hours of college credits
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must obtain a valid commercial driver's license with passenger and bus endorsement in the State of North Carolina
- Must hold Commercial Driver’s License with P and S Endorsement
- Employment is dependent upon ability and availability to drive a bus
