Job Summary
Teacher Assistant/Bus Driver at Catawba Elementary for the 26-27 school year. As Teacher Assistant, provide academic assistance, individualized instruction, substitute teaching, tutoring, classroom setup, materials preparation, testing proctoring, record-keeping, behavior monitoring, and support for disciplinary policy. As Bus Driver, ensure safe transportation of students, perform pre-run checks, follow routes and district procedures, monitor student behavior on the bus, and maintain orderly conduct. Requires High School Diploma with additional coursework; 48 hours of college-level coursework for Teacher Assistant (or equivalent, GPA 2.0 or WorkKeys Certification) and related experience; for Bus Driver, 5 years driving experience, completion of NC DMV Bus Driver Training, eligibility for CDL with Passenger Endorsement, and DOT physical and drug screening. Strong communication, organizational, and safety skills; ability to work with students, parents, and school staff; willingness to undergo ongoing training.
