Job Summary
Teach core academic subjects and band-related instruction toPreK-12 students; develop lesson plans aligned with district curriculum; differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles; assess student learning and adjust instruction; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; sponsor extracurricular activities; integrate technology into instruction; maintain open communication with parents, administrators, and colleagues; participate in staff development and district meetings; ensure classroom management and safety per Student Code of Conduct and district policies; model integrity and professionalism; support district mission while contributing to student growth and district success plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one-year student teaching or approved internship
