Teacher Assistant - Bancroft School

Plan and implement classroom instruction tailored to the educational needs of assigned students, adhering to the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and state regulations. Assist teachers in developing lesson plans, assessing student abilities, and managing individual behavior to maintain a safe, secure learning environment. Provide tutoring in social, vocational, and educational skills while encouraging student independence. Observe and track student behavior to monitor proficiency levels, and accompany students during activities, meals, and trips. Transport students between rooms with proper medical equipment when necessary. Substitute for the One-to-One Education Program Associate as needed.
