Job Summary
Support preschoolers ages 3-5 with developmental disabilities in a year-round program by working as part of a team to create a nurturing learning environment. Share your interests and talents while providing direct assistance to children and their families. Complete required screenings including a Level II background check, physical, and drug screen. Maintain physical abilities to bend, lift, stand, squat, walk, run, balance, reach, kneel, pull, and push. Provide documented verification of 40-hour childcare training within 90 days of hiring or complete the full 45 hours within one year.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children
- Level II background check
- Physical and drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- Physical abilities to bend, lift, stand, squat, walk, run, balance, reach, kneel, pull, and push
- Documented verification of completion of the 40-hour childcare training mandated by the state of Florida
