Teacher Assistant - Adult Program

Teacher Assistant for the Adult Program supports instructional and therapeutic activities under the supervision of professional educators. Responsibilities include aiding in understanding subject matter, assisting with programmed lessons, preparing and maintaining instructional materials and equipment, assisting with teacher-planned activities and drills, maintaining student records, and supporting students with self-care activities. The role emphasizes implementing the school’s methodology with a focus on self-regulation, executive functioning, relationship development, and academic competence, and involves both remote and face-to-face instruction. The position requires collaborative teamwork, professionalism, and the ability to adapt under pressure; lifting up to 40 pounds and occasional participation in an annual faculty overnight retreat are noted. Education preference is for an undergraduate degree in education, psychology, or a related field (or in progress).
