Job Summary
Assistant to the teacher in Vista Del Mar School supports curriculum delivery and behavior modification for emotionally disturbed children/adolescents. Responsibilities include daily briefings with the teacher, maintaining professional communication, supporting behavior management and academic instruction, collecting data for Treatment Plan Reviews and progress reports, maintaining attendance and classroom records, issuing and completing forms, and assisting with inventory and supplies. Requires a BA and credentials within 30 days; CPR/First Aid knowledge; ability to drive occasionally; strong emphasis on confidentiality, timely documentation, and collaboration with staff. Pay is $19-$21 per hour with full benefits; location is in Los Angeles, CA.
Required Qualifications
- BA required - credentials within 30 days
- Experience with emotionally disturbed/autistic children and adolescents preferred
- Ability to hear and verbally communicate with others
- May be required to obtain a Class B driver's license
- CPR/First Aid knowledge or certification preferred
