Job Summary
Provides support to the teacher in the instruction of students with a range of instructional activities. Responsibilities include academic assistance, individualized instruction, monitoring student work, preparing visual aids and instructional materials, serving as a substitute teacher, proctoring testing, attendance reporting, and maintaining health records. Requires ability to operate audiovisual and office equipment, create learning aids, and follow teacher-designed strategies; willingness to obtain a bus license to substitute as needed; emphasizes supervision of student behavior, discipline support, and collaboration with the teacher to promote student learning.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Associate's degree or 48 semester hours or score at least level Four on all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) of WorkKeys exam
