Job Summary
Provides instructional support to teachers in a K-12/NCPK classroom setting. Serves group and individualized instruction, prepares visual aids and instructional materials, proctors testing, assists with attendance and data entry, maintains classroom organization, supports discipline and citizenship education, and helps students stay on task while reporting progress to the teacher. Requires strong English communication, ability to work with students, and familiarity with educational tools and records. May require CDA credential or pursuing an associate degree in an early childhood field; basic knowledge of classroom management and ability to operate instructional equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (for NCPK path)
- CDA credential or pursuing an Associate Degree or higher in birth-through-kindergarten/early childhood education-related field
- Associate’s degree in education or equivalent preferred
