Job Summary
Provide instructional support to the teacher in graded assignments and classroom activities; assist with academic instruction, monitor student progress, prepare visual aids and instructional materials, and serve as a proctor during testing. Role includes reporting attendance and health data, organizing materials, and assisting with discipline and classroom management; responsibilities may include acting as a substitute teacher and, when needed, serving as a bus-licensed substitute bus driver. Requires ability to follow minimally detailed instructions, maintain confidentiality of student information, operate standard classroom and office equipment, and communicate effectively with students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Associate's degree
- Successful completion of 48 semester hours or score at least a level Four or higher on all three portions (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy & Workplace Documents) of the WorkKeys exam
- Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
