Job Summary
A highly skilled Part-time Teacher (ASC) at Canongate Primary School, supporting life chances through inclusive, diverse, and equitable education. You will lead learning within the classroom context, promote inclusion, diversity and equality, and communicate with stakeholders to contribute to wider school improvements. The role requires GTCS registration, PVG clearance, and a professional commitment to ongoing professional learning, with responsibilities including planning to meet all learners’ needs, building positive relationships, and using evidence and digital technologies to motivate and engage learners. The position is a temporary contract until 15 August 2027, working 14 hours per week across Thursday and Friday, in St Andrews, Fife, UK.
Required Qualifications
- Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration
- GTCS registration in primary for primary posts or GTCS registration in secondary for secondary posts (specific subject if applicable)
- PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before appointment
- Commitment to undertake PVG membership as a condition of employment
- Demonstrated ability to model Professional Standards for teachers in Scotland
