Teacher and Floating Teacher

Provides a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic educational environment for young children; plans and teaches an age-appropriate curriculum, prepares weekly lesson plans with the assistant/aide, and uses developmentally appropriate instructional methods. Assesses social‐emotional needs, supports self‐soothing skills, maintains a positive, orderly classroom aligned with THR policies and progress reporting (TS GOLD), communicates with parents and other staff, participates in quality improvement activities (including CLASS and ITERS), conducts home visits per Early Head Start scheduling, and ensures compliance with pre‐employment screening requirements. Requires an Associate’s or higher degree in Early Childhood Education with at least 24 credits and two years of early childhood experience; proficiency in MS Office 365; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and commitment to safeguarding children and collaborating with specialists and families.
