Job Summary
Provide assistance to teachers in a non-teaching capacity to support students with social/emotional and learning difficulties in all school settings. Model appropriate social skills, facilitate social interaction, assist with classroom work and attend to student physical needs. Under the director of the teacher, aides will perform routine classroom duties, including supervising and participating in activities to improve development, assisting children with social skills, supporting the classroom teacher, and helping the classroom run smoothly. Requires civil service qualification of high school graduation or equivalency.
