Job Summary
Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction across content areas by working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning and provide targeted academic support. Prepare instructional materials, organize resources, and assist with hands-on activities while supervising students during transitions, lunch, recess, and field trips to ensure safety. Help maintain a joyful learning environment through positive behavior reinforcement, monitor student progress for data collection, and implement accommodations for diverse learning needs. Collaborate with staff on school-wide systems and participate in professional development to strengthen instructional practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with elementary students in a school or youth setting
- Familiarity with classroom instructional routines, small-group support, or behavior management strategies
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
