Job Summary
Oversee the classroom environment by assuring child health and safety, supporting appropriate curriculum, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Provide room coverage for lunch, additional prep time, and student transitions, while maintaining daily schedule adherence and classroom management. Handle office duties including answering phones and reception coverage. Keep staff and administration informed regarding children and issues, and maintain Agency policies and procedures. Maintain full range of motion and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Work part-time Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for 25 hours per week. Obtain New York State Teaching Assistant Certification.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years and older
- HS Diploma
- willingness to obtain New York State Teaching Assistant Certification
