Teacher Aide - ESCS Yonk Campus

Conduct non-instructional classroom duties under the supervision of a certified special education teacher, including assisting with physical care tasks like therapeutic feeding and toileting. Maintain a safe, organized learning environment by managing materials, equipment, and daily documentation such as attendance and health checks. Transport students to and from school, ensuring they are seated securely with necessary adapted equipment. Collaborate with the classroom team to design lesson plan activities based on knowledge of children with special needs. Meet or exceed all health standards, including the ability to lift 50 pounds and handle exposure to blood or body fluids. Work in a well-lighted, ventilated area subject to frequent interruptions, with potential for beyond-normal hours as assigned by School Administration.
