Job Summary
Supports Lead Teacher in daily classroom instruction in an Early Head Start program, assists with developmental screenings, lesson planning, and progress observations for children, maintains appropriate teacher-child ratios, participates in staff trainings and multidisciplinary teamwork, and helps with transportation of children. Performs duties to ensure health, safety, sanitation, nutrition, and licensing compliance; may work with special needs children as needed. Requires CDA credential or 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and may include CPR/First Aid certification; bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- CDA credential or 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education with enrollment and proof of attendance in a CDA program required
- Minimum of one year of professional experience working with young children in a child-care setting required
- Certifications in Infant/Child CPR, First Aid and Caring for the Mildly Ill Child preferred
