Job Summary
The Teacher Aide collaborates with the Teacher to plan, prepare, and implement classroom activities and field trips while supporting children’s development across various needs. Responsibilities include observing and recording children's progress, assisting with home visits and parent conferences, ensuring compliance with licensing as a bus monitor, preparing meals, and contributing to the maintenance of the center and its supplies. Essential qualifications include experience under one year in childcare settings, excellent listening and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Additional requirements involve certifications in CDA, First Aid, CPR, and holding a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Less than one year of experience working with children in a child care setting required
- Experience in classroom in Early Childhood Education
- Excellent Listening skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and other computer software as applicable to the position
- Ability to communicate with and relate to young children
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to read, analyze, comprehend, and apply written procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Current CDA and in process of attaining a college degree
- Head Start Performance Standards, preferred
- Child Care License Regulations
- First Aid and CPR certification
Additional Requirements
- Must pass required background checks
- Must hold current C.H.R.C.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and provide proof of insurance
