Job Summary
Provide exceptional instruction to 7th grade Reading students at Ponca City Public Schools. Establishes and implements classroom procedures to maximize student learning, prepares detailed weekly lesson plans aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards, and administers Individualized Education Plans and behavioral or academic interventions. Maintains a neat, orderly classroom, manages student records, and communicates regularly with parents. Attends required meetings and professional development, coordinates with teacher assistants, parents, and volunteers, and collaborates with other professionals to enhance student progress. Uses formative and summative data to guide instruction, offers individualized and small-group instruction, leverages technology to support learning, and plans field trips when appropriate. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and district policies, and engages in ongoing professional growth and planning.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Assigned Subject(s)
