Job Summary
Art teacher (7-12) via interim assignment, providing instruction in art history and visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, and related media) under supervision. Plans and delivers lessons, supervises and assesses students, collaborates with administrators and families, and ensures instructional alignment with district standards and the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Responsible for creating an engaging classroom environment, preparing for classes, administering assessments, and maintaining safe, well-equipped art spaces in a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools setting. Includes participation in professional development and PLC activities to improve instructional practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in Art area
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
