Job Summary
Implement the district's instructional program by developing lesson plans, presenting subject matter clearly, and managing classroom behavior through positive discipline techniques. Coordinate with team members, the librarian, and school personnel to prepare students for state standards while supervising safety during classes and school activities. Maintain accurate records for student evaluations, attendance, and materials, and initiate regular communication with parents regarding progress and program updates. Report to work daily per the schedule approved by the campus principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited College or University
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
- Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach K-3 students or currently enrolled
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of successful classroom experience
- Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach Pre-k, Grade 4, and Grade 5
