Job Summary
Fourth grade ELAR/SS teacher in Katy ISD with a Texas teaching certificate and ESL certification requirements. Responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, differentiating instruction, presenting material per TEA policies, collaborating with staff, integrating digital tools, selecting instructional materials, planning for varied learner needs, assisting with IEPs, monitoring student achievement through assessments, supervising extracurricular activities, parent conferences, and maintaining professional, ethical conduct in line with district goals. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self contained special education or general education classroom assignments
- ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Student teaching or approved internship
- Physically able to monitor student discipline and progress and to meet other student needs as required
- Physically able to move about the room to perform formative assessments and facilitate small and large group instruction
