Job Summary
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines, incorporating digital tools and differentiated accommodations for diverse learning styles. Manage student behavior and discipline according to Board policies while monitoring achievement through formal and informal assessments to guide instructional delivery. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for Individual Education Plans and work cooperatively with staff on instructional goals. Establish open communication with parents, students, and colleagues to support the campus mission and maintain a conducive learning environment. Compile required reports, attend faculty meetings, and participate in professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self contained special education or general education classroom assignments
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Student teaching or approved internship
- Physically able to monitor student discipline and progress and to meet other student needs as required
- Physically able to move about the room to perform formative assessments and facilitate small and large group instruction
- Must maintain emotional control under stress
Desired Qualifications
- ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments
- Advanced degree stipend for Master's or Doctorate degree
