Teacher - 3rd Grade

Teach District-approved curriculum to 3rd-grade students using varied instructional techniques and media. Plan programs of study that meet individual student needs while establishing clear lesson objectives. Create a conducive classroom environment, enforce behavior standards, and protect students, equipment, and facilities. Assist administration with policies, diagnose learning disabilities with specialists, and evaluate academic and social growth through records and progress reports. Maintain accurate legal and administrative records. Remain available to students and parents outside instructional hours. Requires a four-year degree, subject-area major, passing Praxis II score, valid N.C. teaching license, and familiarity with computer software for student information management.
