Job Summary
Performs 2nd-grade instruction and leads classroom activities, plans and delivers lessons, assesses student progress, maintains student confidentiality, integrates research into best practices, and uses technology to support learning. Demonstrates leadership, collaborates with Administrators, families, and the community, participates in meetings and extracurricular activities, and adheres to district policies and federal/state laws while creating a safe, age-appropriate learning environment and promoting student growth across cognitive, social, and emotional dimensions.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- North Carolina Standard Professional Educator's License or working toward licensure
- Out of State License must apply for NC license
- Strong leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and community
- Knowledge of NC Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
