Job Summary
Teach 2nd grade students in Manor ISD, delivering engaging lessons and activities aligned with district and TEA guidelines. Develop and implement lesson plans, reflect accommodations for diverse learning styles, assess student achievement, collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula, plan goals with staff, supervise teacher aides/volunteers, integrate technology in instruction, maintain open communication with parents and administrators, and participate in staff development. Demonstrate classroom management, effective communication, and a positive role model for students while supporting the district’s mission and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL certification required within 60 days of hire
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
