Job Summary
Teach 2nd grade bilingual students in Manor ISD by developing and implementing lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and Texas guidelines. Deliver instruction reflective of diverse learning styles, assess student learning, and modify curricula with special education teammates as needed. Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning, conduct parent conferences, maintain open communication with families and staff, supervise teacher aides and volunteers, participate in staff development, and uphold classroom management in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Lead extracurricular activities as assigned and ensure compliance with state, district, and school regulations; collaborate with colleagues to set instructional goals and methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL certification required within 60 days of hire
- Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
