Job Summary
Lead the leadership and management of assigned grades or classes by developing and implementing an instructional program aligned with Diocesan Curriculum Standards and student needs. Create a positive learning environment that models Catholic philosophy, gospel values, and moral teaching while ensuring student safety and welfare. Deliver daily and weekly lessons using varied strategies and technology, integrate faith into all curriculum areas, and provide ongoing assessments with constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and attendance statistics; establish relationships with parents and the school community through conferences and faculty meetings. Continue professional development to stay current with religious and academic certifications.

- Must demonstrate personal self-discipline
- Must be adaptable and flexible in routine and unexpected situations
- Must use good judgment in daily encounters
- Must use verbal and written language correctly
- Must demonstrate an appropriate sense of humor
- Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of good teaching techniques
- Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child psychology
- Must maintain appropriate grooming and dress at all times
- Preference given to Catholic teacher
- Must be willing to make a public Profession of Faith if Catholic
- Must be willing to support Catholic teachings and philosophy if non-Catholic
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree
- Must be certified by the Arizona State Department of Education as a teacher
- Must meet applicable NCA requirements
- Must have received Safe Environment Training
- Must have signed the Code of Conduct
- Must have completed FBI Fingerprint clearance
- Must meet Ministry Formation Certification and/or re-certification as required by Diocesan policy
