Job Summary
Teach and support student learning in North Carolina through planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and instructional environments aligned with educational and social development goals. Responsibilities include managing instructional time and student behavior, presenting lessons with clear objectives and examples, monitoring student performance, providing timely feedback, facilitating instruction with aligned objectives and resources, and engaging with students, colleagues, parents, and the school community. Requires a degree in education or related licensure-qualifying field and compliance with North Carolina licensure requirements; must be able to meet physical and clerical demands of a classroom setting.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in education or related area that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
- Must not be on the NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified to teach and/or must not be currently engaged in a certification revocation hearing process
