Job Summary
Provide special education instruction and related services for LIFE Skills students, developing or modifying curricula and preparing lessons to match student abilities. Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop and implement IEPs, employ varied instructional techniques and technology, and support student growth and development. Manage classroom environment, supervise instructional aides, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments
- Knowledge of IEP goal setting and implementation
- Knowledge of adapting curriculum and instruction for students with special needs
- Effective communication skills
