Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in social studies to support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum; assess student achievement; collaborate with special education staff on IEPs; sponsor approved extracurricular activities; maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment; communicate professionally with parents, students, and colleagues; participate in staff development and district meetings; comply with state and district regulations; 187-day probationary/term contract; AED/CPR certification for PE role as required; pay grade T60.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
